Hello and welcome to Little Miss Chatterbox! My name is Grace and I’m thrilled that you’re visiting my blog.
I grew up in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, where I studied at The Priory School, a place that certainly taught me the importance of individuality and personal growth. Having just finished my final year of A levels, consisting of English Literature, History and Music, I am going on to study Music at the University of Oxford in October 2020. While it was my love for the academic side of music that pushed me in this direction, finding particular interest in identity politics and nationalist music, performance has always brought me great enjoyment, playing both viola and piano.
I love being outside (especially in the summer), whether that’s running, cycling, walking or even just lying in the sun. I suppose that connotes that summer is my favourite season – a time in the year that simply makes me happy.
I’m also a big book lover, aiming to read at least 50 books this year (you can follow me on Goodreads – @graceramsey). I love the feeling of getting lost in the pages of someone else’s story, and also the feeling of accomplishment that comes with finishing a book. My favourite book this year has been A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini – I finished it in about two days and genuinely cried when I’d finished it!
